Veteran forward Gary Taylor-Fletcher is determined to find himself a new club after departing from Leicester City in the summer, according to HITC Sport
The versatile forward was playing Premier League football with Blackpool a little under five years ago, and yet the 34-year-old is yet to persuade a club in the Football League to take a chance on his ability.
Taylor-Fletcher had a torrid time with the Foxes scoring just three goals in 21 appearances, with the majority of his playing time coming as a substitute.
The Widnes-born player is a perfect example of someone who has worked their way up from the very bottom to the summit of the game.
Having started his career with Northwich Victoria, Taylor-Fletcher moved onto Leyton Orient Lincoln City and Huddersfield Town before signing for the Tangerines for his most fruitful spell as a professional footballer in 2007.
It is hard to comprehend that someone with as much experience and versatility as Taylor-Fletcher is left without a club in any division.
Possibly not the Championship considering the player’s age but the player would certainly be a decent signing for someone in League One or League Two.
Blackpool fans… Would you have Taylor-Fletcher back? Would he come back? What are your abiding memories of the forward? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
