Nottingham Forest will be hoping to pull off an upset in the Carabao Cup tonight as Wolves visit the City Ground.

The Reds will look to take a break from their disappointing league form and look to advance to the third round of the competition this evening, with the Premier League side making the short journey across the midlands.

Forest have lost their opening four league games for only the second time in 67 years, with the pressure beginning to build on manager Chris Hughton.

Tonight presents them with an opportunity to redeem themselves slightly, as they look to overcome Premier League opposition and get past the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Forest defeated League Two side Bradford City in the first round, with a Joao Carvalho brace sending them through to round two.

That night saw a number of youngsters be given their chance to impress, with six academy graduates being named in the starting line-up.

Chris Hughton says he expects to name a similar-looking, youthful side this evening, after many were left out of the Under-23s' clash with Southampton at Alfreton Town last night.

In goal, Hughton confirmed that Ethan Horvath, who made his debut in the previous round, will start in-between the sticks as he continues to breathe down Brice Samba's neck.

Fin Back, who has featured in Forest's last two Championship fixtures, is likely to be given a nod at right-back, with Jayden Richardson likely to start on the opposite flank. In defence, Riley Harbottle and Baba Fernandes are also likely to be named.

Moving into midfield, and Tyrese Fornah will be hoping to replicate the performance he produced against Bradford. The 21-year-old put in a man-of-the-match display, and is likely to partner Cafu this evening.

Going forward, Carvalho, who was unable to take his chance against Stoke at the weekend, is likely to be given a second chance in the starting line-up, with Alex Mighten and Ateef Konate either side.

Up top, Lewis Grabban could be given a start as he continues to build match fitness and sharpness, having missed the start of the season due to self-isolation protocols
