With the visitors in the relegation zone, the Black Cats would've expected to pick up all three points at the Stadium of Light. However, despite dominating possession in the first-half, the Wearside outfit, who are without a manager, looked toothless.

And, a mistake from keeper Remi Matthews would then give the Brewers the lead. The keeper failed to hold on to a routine effort, with Charles Vernam capitalising.

Whilst Max Power rescued a point for Sunderland with a late effort, it wasn't enough to spare the stopper criticism.

Matthews has been second choice for much of the season, behind Lee Burge, but he has started the last four league games, with the side failing to win or keep a clean sheet in that period.
