Scunthorpe United have appointed former Bradford City boss Stuart McCall as the club’s new manager.

The 54-year-old returns to management after leaving the Bantams at the start of the year, and just three days after former boss Nick Daws was sacked.

Daws only took the job in May after guiding his former side to the play-offs during an interim spell in charge.

A decision was made to terminate the 48-year-old’s employment two back-to-back defeats at the hands of Sunderland and Fleetwood Town, both but hefty margins.

McCall’s first game in charge will be this Saturday when he takes his new side to the Wham Stadium to take on newly-promoted Accrington Stanley.

And many Iron fans are happy with the appointment of the Scotsman.

With that said, here’s how Scunthorpe United supporters have reacted on Twitter to the appointment of McCall as their new manager.
