Chris Brunt has had a long and successful career at West Brom and he will be hoping to play his part as they look to win promotion back to the Premier League.

Of course, the Northern Irishman has shone at that level before and one of his most memorable days for Albion in the top-flight came on this day nine years ago, with the club reflecting to it on Twitter.

That was when the Baggies thrashed Everton 4-1 at Goodison Park and Brunt was crucial to the win.

His excellent left-foot was a constant threat and he made a goal before scoring with a brilliant free-kick that gave Tim Howard no chance, to top off what had been a fantastic away day for Albion.
