Blackburn Rovers have cause for a celebration with after a double award scoop to crown an impressive set of results in January.

Rovers won all four of their league fixtures last month, and that saw manager Tony Mowbray nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award after the string of wins.

Adding to that, it was an impressive month, too, for striker Adam Armstrong who registered two goals and two assists to cap off notable performances last month, was nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.

The winners were announced early on Friday morning, and it was a clean sweep for the Ewood Park pair, the club’s official Twitter account revealed.

The four straight wins saw Blackburn move up into 11th place, and narrow the points gap between them and the play-off places to just four.

It could have been closer had they not thrown away a two-goal lead to lose 5-2 away at Brentford last weekend, but they are still in the hunt for a top-six finish nonetheless.

With that said, however, here’s how the Rovers supporters reacted to the double achievement on social media after it was announced.
