Following last year’s disappointing Sky Bet Championship season, many expected Aston Villa to challenge for a Premier League return under Steve Bruce during the 2017/18 campaign.

However, after six games, Villa’s supporters are unenthused, as their side struggles to make a major impact in the Championship.

Bruce’s side have just six points to their name, and the club’s supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated with the performance of the first-team.

Frustration was clear last night, as the club’s under-23 squad – featuring the returning Jonathan Kodjia – breezed past a strong Southampton side, with a number of youngsters impressing in the 4-0 victory.

Callum O’Hare was one player that impressed, with the young striker getting his name on the scoresheet for Villa’s under-23s.

O’Hare has been handed a first-team opportunity already this season by Bruce, and following his performance against Southampton, Villa’s supporters want to see more of the 19-year-old, as their club look to turn their form around.

The striker took to Twitter following last night’s victory, expressing his delight after an impressive performance.

Following O’Hare’s tweet, many Villa supporters were calling for the striker to be brought back into the first-team - here is some reaction…

Aston Villa fans… Do you want to see O’Hare in the first-team? Let us know your thoughts!
