Former Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has finally found himself a new job after nearly 18 months away from the game and plenty of Whites fans have been quick to wish him well.

The Dane announced on Twitter that he will be taking over as manager of Belgian second-tier side Union Saint Gilloise.

He took over at Elland Road in the summer of 2017 and got off to a flying start, keeping the Whites in the hunt for automatic promotion until December.

But a dramatic drop in form saw them fall out of the top-six entirely and led to him getting sacked in favour of Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom, leaving with an average of just over 1.5 points per game.

Christiansen's time at Elland Road did, however, see him bring in some of the club's most popular current figures including Pontus Jansson, Gjanni Alioski and Tyler Roberts so it is not a big surprise that plenty of Leeds fans were quick to wish him well following this announcement...
