Reports recently broke suggesting that Nottingham Forest midfielder Brennan Johnson was the subject of interest from Everton.

Brennan Johnson is a regular in Nottingham Forest's under-18 team and he is attracting Premier League Everton, who are aiming to tempt him to Merseyside.

Since the appointment of Steve Walsh as Head of Recruitment, Everton's philosophy has been to invest in the youth team and they have already snapped up a number of talented youngsters, such as Coventry's Bassala Sambou, Sheffield United's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Charlton's Ademola Lookman.

England under-16 international Johnson is now on Everton's radar but Forest will be keen to keep their prize youngster.

The Reds have a good reputation for producing young talent, with the likes of Ben Brereton, Ben Osborn, Matty Cash and Joe Worrall all regularly turning out for the first team.
