Hope for MK Dons: The stat that suggests AFC Wimbledon are in for a tough time on Friday

Friday night sees one of football’s most recent rivalries take centre-stage in League 1 as AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons go head-to-head at Kingsmeadow.

The story is well known in the game with MK Dons being the old Wimbledon side that ended up relocating to Milton Keynes after going bust.

AFC Wimbledon, meanwhile, was formed by fans disgruntled by the decision and they have duly helped the club into the Football League – which brings us to tomorrow night.

Certainly, there’ll be a big atmosphere at Kingsmeadow come kick-off but that could soon dissipate if Neil Ardley’s record against MK Dons continues.

Indeed, as per transfermarkt, Ardley has won just twice against tomorrow night’s opponents in his career from the five games he has managed against them.

Indeed, the other three results came as losses, too, and so Dons fans will be hoping that tomorrow will buck the trend.

Certainly, as well as bragging rights being up for grabs, whoever wins tomorrow will be higher than the other in the league table with MK Dons currently enjoying a two point advantage.

It promises, then, to be a hard-fought occasion.

Which way is this one going? Let us know below!
