‘Honeymoon period is over’, ‘Monk in disguise’ – These Sheffield Wednesday fans react to comments from key figure after latest loss

Sheffield Wednesday suffered a significant defeat yesterday as they were beaten 1-0 by relegation rivals Birmingham City at Hillsborough.
With the sides on the same points going into the clash, many saw this as a pivotal fixture, and a Scott Hogan goal was enough to seal the points for the visitors.
That didn’t tell the whole story though, as Liam Shaw had been sent off prior to that, in what was the defining moment of the game.
Despite that, the Owls were nowhere near their best, something which caretaker boss Neil Thompson acknowledged after the game when speaking to reporter Dom Howson.
“We have to dust ourselves down. We have got to fight. You can lick your wounds. We have fallen short of where we need to be this week.”
Were each of these 20 former Sheffield Wednesday players left or right footed?
Yet, his comments annoyed some Wednesday fans, who wanted to see Thompson call out some players for the performance, and they felt this quotes are too similar to recent defeats.
Here we look at some of the reaction to the assessment from a section of the support from Twitter…
Bloody hell. He said exactly that after the midweek game. It's just on rinse & repeat. Yet the same result.

TBH Thompson doing his best, been chucked in at deep end, we need a proper experienced manager. Mr Chansiri what the hell you doing/done to our club?? Should've got Cook in before Pulis,we'd be nowhere near drop zone now.

Sorry to say this but it’s not the best time to change managers but I think NT is showing inexperience in his team selection. The amount of balls in th box and the chances and he left Rhodes on the bench again.

The honeymoon period is over for NT all we’ve seen for the last few games is the long ball over the top
