Leeds United are being linked with a summer swoop for Olympiacos midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe on loan this summer, report Greek outlet Gazetta.gr.

The 29-year-old midfielder has previously played in England for Norwich City, and it seems that Leeds want to bring him back over.

Would this be a wise signing for Leeds?

We discuss...

Ben Barkworth

Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe doesn't appear to be an ideal signing based on his history in England as well as his age.

His struggles with Norwich and Rotherham suggest that he might not be suited to English football. However, the disappointing aspect of this move is what it represents.

Leeds don't appear to be moving away from their transfer strategy of buying 'bargain' signings in quantity rather than going for proven quality which is what they need.

George Dagless

I can't see Leeds fans particularly buying into it.

It's another risk. Yes, he's played in this country before but it wasn't the most memorable stay and though he plays for the biggest club in Greece, they're not even topping the league right now.

Leeds should be looking elsewhere.

Chris Gallagher

I think Leeds should stay away from the midfielder.

It's good to see they are targeting players in that position, however he has already had a spell in England that didn't go to plan which makes this is a risky deal.

Leeds need proven, Championship players which they should know by now.

Gary Hutchinson

No, no, no no - Honestly, what are Leeds playing at?

Leeds United, why must you hunt Europe for the answer to your underlying problems? What has Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe got that any number of current League One midfielders have not? A failed two year spell at Norwich?

The transfer policy at Elland Road gobsmacks me at times, they never learn from the numerous mistakes.
