QPR are really beginning to find form in the Championship under Ian Holloway and they were seriously unlucky not to dispatch promotion-chasing Leeds United this weekend.

The Hoops have been steadily finding their feet under returning manager Ian Holloway, who has seemed to begun getting the most out of a squad of players that underperformed under former boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

He added wisely in January, with the additions of Matt Smith and Luke Freeman already beginning to pay dividends.

So with the Hoops looking like a proper Championship side again, what remains for the rest of the season?

Well, promotion is certainly off the cards after some poor early-season performances but laying the foundations for a title-charge next campaign should definitely be at the top of Holloway's agenda.

And to do that, he needs to ensure his team selection is right from here until the end of the campaign.

So with that in mind, here's TWO players that must be axed by Holloway for the Championship run-in.....

Nedum Onuoha

Despite putting in a seriously good performance against Leeds this weekend, it's a case of too little, too late for the R's captain, who hasn't been at his best at all this campaign.

He's a high earner at the club and at times, for the wage he is paid, he's not delivered the goods on a consistent enough basis.

He didn't jump ship when QPR were relegated, which plenty of fans appreciate, but moving forward, things need to sure up at the back and perhaps pressing ahead with younger blood might be the answer for the Hoops.

Idrissa Sylla

Idrissa Sylla's QPR career is hanging by a thread following Holloway's arrival.

He immediately brought in likewise striker Matt Smith and since then, Sylla has struggled for game time on a weekly basis.

The Guinean forward was brought in over the summer to add some much-needed steel to the QPR frontline but he struggled to make an impact, not scoring enough goals as QPR fell down the table.

In Smith, they have a striker who is in-form and willing to work for the rest of the side.

Is Sylla now surplus to requirements? Perhaps so.
