QPR manager Ian Holloway has claimed that some of his players 'tried to get him sacked' at the beginning of the season, in an interview with Get West London.

The R's manager was speaking candidly as usual about players and his decisions, and was insistent that his player should 'do their job' and let him get on with his, something he is confident he now has in place at Loftus Road after a tricky start to the campaign.

Holloway added that he can 'drop whoever he wants, whenever he wants' and that in no way does it say in players contracts that they are guaranteed to play every week.

It was not all fire and thunder and criticism from Holloway though, as he did admit that his squad is now up for the fight, admitting he does not 'have one player who does not want the club to win' and 'not one player who is happy at not playing'.

Holloway will be hoping to keep their momentum going after a stunning midweek win over Aston Villa. The former Blackpool manager is known for bringing groups of players closer together and getting the best out of them, and he will be confident of success next term if he can keep his squad together.

R's fans, what do you make of this? Is Holloway correct? Let us know in the comments!
