It’s been a hugely frustrating season for Bolton Wanderers, who look as though they’re set to be relegated into the fourth tier of English football this term.
The Trotters are currently sat bottom of the League One table, and are 21 points adrift of safety heading towards the conclusion of this year’s campaign.
However, due to recent off-the-field events, that bid for an unlikely survival has been put on hold for the time being, with no scheduled return date being put in place as of yet.
Can you remember which Bolton Wanderers manager signed these players? Test your knowledge in our quiz!
One player that has been a regular in Keith Hill’s side this season in League One is Joe Dodoo, who signed for the club in October 2019.
The 24-year-old has gone on to make 27 appearances for Bolton, although it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll remain with the club heading into next year’s campaign.
Plenty of Bolton Wanderers supporters took to social media to issue their thoughts on Dodoo’s performances so far this season.
Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below….
Needs to be more consistent but his pace can be frightening at times and is pretty good with the ball at his feet. Links up well with Emmanuel too. Just needs better decision making and to be stronger sometimes.

Very much like Ameobi, however League 1 level, good on his day but not a consistent player at all.
