Ipswich Town failed to move back into the play-off places as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Oxford United this afternoon.

The result continues the Tractor Boys alarming run of form, with Paul Lambert's men now losing four of their last six League One games and they also had Kayden Jackson sent off in injury time to cap off a miserable afternoon.

Despite that, Lambert refused to be too critical of the players and insisted the team should have capitalised on their dominance in the first half by going ahead.

However, Matt Taylor gave the visitors the lead and Ipswich struggled to create clear chances after the break.

As you would expect, the latest defeat has frustrated the supporters and many are not happy with Lambert as the Suffolk outfit face a real battle to just secure a top six finish.
