Charlton Athletic's League One promotion hopes suffered a fresh blow on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 3-2 by Gillingham at The Valley.

The Addicks twice had to come from behind through Chuks Aneke and Jayden Stockley, after goals from Olly Lee and Connor Ogilvie - the latter a stunning long range effort - had put Gillingham first 1-0 and then 2-1 up.

But after Aneke had then been sent off for a second bookable offence, Kyle Dempsey finished emphatically for the visitors inside the area, and this time Charlton were unable to find an equaliser in the final few minutes of the game.

That result means that Charlton have won just three of their last 12 league games, and sit seventh in the League One table, one point adrift of the play-off places.

Taking to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, plenty of Charlton fans appeared far from impressed, with many keen to express their frustrations at manager Lee Bowyer, who some seem to feel should be removed from his position in the dugout at The Valley following that recent run of poor form, although others did suggest that their side's problems may lie elsewhere.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the Addicks boss.
