Sky Bet Championship side Stoke City are set to sell forward Saido Berahino in the summer after recent events, according to Mail Online.

The 25-year-old, who was scheduled to play in the club's under-23 clash with Manchester United on Monday night, was arrested on the suspicion of drink-driving on Monday morning.

The Staffordshire club are set to fine Berahino, and reports also claim that they are to sell the man who has scored just five goals in 26 appearances this season.

Here, we discuss whether this is the best move by the club...

George Harbey

"Absolutely the right move.

"Berahino is a liability, it is as simple as that.

"If they can get him off the wage bill they will be able to bring in a much better striker."

Jay Taylor

"He’s a lost cause and has been a poor signing since he arrived at the club.

"This is the straw that will break the camel's back - and ultimately I think it is the right move.

"A move abroad seems the likeliest option for a player who has failed to live up to his potential since being linked with a move to Spurs."

Gary Hutchinson

"Yes, they’re spot on.

"He’s been his own worst enemy throughout his career.

"I can’t understand it, you have the world at your feet and you do something like this.

"Sunderland sacked Gibson, but the trouble is you do that and someone else gets a bargain."
