Middlesbrough face a three-way battle for the final play-off spot in the Championship this season, with only a single point separating Derby County, Bristol City and Tony Pulis' side.

Boro's rivals have an advantage though, with both the Rams and the Robins having a game in hand on them, meaning a season of disappointment could befall the Riverside faithful.

So if Boro fail to seal a play-off place, should owner Steve Gibson axe Pulis?

We discuss........

Gary Hutchinson

“He should have done it halfway through the season.

“He axed Monk for getting to exactly where Pulis is now.

“At least Monk played decent football, Pulis is a relic.

“He’s killed that squad and he should have gone long before now.”

George Harbey

"He has got to go at the end of the season for me, regardless of whether they go up or not.

"His football is dire, and just doesn’t suit his players one bit, and with the squad that he has, he should be doing much, much better with it.

"There are so many better options out there for Boro."

Jacob Potter

"They need to get rid of him ASAP.

"It shouldn’t even be dependent on the outcome this season, and Pulis has divided the fanbase at the Riverside.

"His tactics are questionable and I seriously think there are better options out there for Boro heading into next season."
