Leeds United defender Tom Pearce is attracting a lot of attention this summer as uncertainty about his contract situation increases.

Reliable football journalist Alan Nixon is now reporting that Everton, Bournemouth and a third unnamed Premier League club are set to compete for the 20-year-old, who is out of contract at Leeds.

The Whites are trying to tie up the impressive young left-back, who played five games and scored once towards the end of this season.

But Everton are hoping to bring him back to Goodison Park after letting him leave four years ago.

They see the Leeds starlet as a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines after Brendan Galloway and Luke Garbutt have failed to fill his role.

Bournemouth are also chasing Pearce with Charlie Daniels coming towards the back-end of his career now.

Leeds fans took to social media to vent their frustration at this situation and here are a selection of the best tweets.
