Stuart McKinstry has completed his move to Leeds United, over three months after agreeing to join the Elland Road club, according to Football Insider.

It was reported earlier this year that the highly-rated winger had agreed a deal to join Leeds from Motherwell.

This latest report states that the 16-year-old has now moved to Leeds permanently, where he has joined the club's academy set-up.

McKinstry never made a senior appearance for Motherwell, but he has appeared on the bench, and he'll surely be looking to make an impact in Bielsa's first team at some stage next season.

The Verdict

This is good news for Leeds. McKinstry is a regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Scotland and he could have a big future ahead of him at Elland Road.

He's clearly got a lot of potential and an experienced coach like Carlos Corberan should be able to get the best out of him.

Leeds have produced some very talented players over the past few years and McKinstry has made a very smart decision in choosing to join them.

He will get the opportunity to play with some very talented young players at Leeds and that can only help his development.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has shown throughout his time at the club that he is prepared to give young players a chance, so that is very encouraging for a promising young player like McKinstry.

Even though it could be some time before we see him make an impact for the first team at Elland Road, he's definitely one to watch for the future.
