Aston Villa have a number of promising young talents that certainly have a bright future ahead of them at Villa Park.
The majority of their best youngsters are currently out on loan, with one man impressing more than most.
There are high hopes for Callum O’Hare and we’re starting to see why, with the 20-year-old impressing in League Two with Carlisle United.
The attacking-midfielder assisted twice in their 2-2 draw with Cambridge United on Saturday and he is showing exactly why he is one of the best talents to come through the Aston Villa academy.
O’Hare joined the fourth-tier outfit back in the January transfer window, and he’ll be hoping he can replicate that form with Aston Villa when he returns in the summer.
The 20-year-old has made first-team appearances for the Villans, having featured on four occasions whilst Steve Bruce was in charge at Villa Park last season.
But game time was hard to come by this season so it came as no surprise to see him heading out on loan to find regular first-team opportunities.
The academy graduate will feel as though he has done enough to stake a strong claim for a starting spot in Dean Smith’s side moving forward.
His future could be up in the air though, especially if Villa are to win promotion back into the Premier League, with Smith’s men looking like the team to beat in recent weeks.
O’Hare could struggle for game time if they were to return back to the top flight, with new signings likely to arrive in the summer as they adjust to life in the top-flight.
However, if Villa remain in the Championship then they could have a homegrown talent ready to step up and make a big impact.
