‘Hide the pain’, ‘I bet he’s fun at parties’ – Some Birmingham City fans can’t believe what Aitor Karanka has done against Luton Town

Birmingham City are hoping to put together a good run of results.

After picking up a hard-fought point against Coventry City on Friday night the target now is to get back to winning ways in order to move the club up the table.

The Blues are currently struggling in the bottom half of the table, however fans are hoping to kick on with a positive result against Luton Town.

Aitor Karanka is hoping for the same and has selected his team accordingly.

The Spaniard has made three changes for the clash with the Hatters.

Jake Clarke-Salter comes into the starting XI and will make his first start since rejoining the club on loan.

Gary Gardner and Scott Hogan also come into the team, and replace Jeremie Bela, Riley McGree and Ivan Sanchez who drop to the bench.

It will be Hogan and Gardner’s first starts since the defeat to Bournemouth.

The main talking point, however, was the defensive-looking line-up which suggested the Blues would play five in defence against the Hatters.

As you’d expect, supporters had plenty to say about the team that Karanka had selected.

Here’s what some had to say.
