With Leeds United flying high in the Championship, manager Marcelo Bielsa must feel he has a strong hand as he looks to recruit the players that will ensure they maintain their promotion form over the course of the season.

The downside though is the fact that with Leeds performing so well, their own squad very much become a target for bigger clubs or rivals.

West Brom are certainly interested in midfielder Kalvin Phillips, as reported in the Sun on Sunday (December 9th, Page 57), but Baggies manager Darren Moore knows it will not be easy to prise the player out of Elland Road, without beating Leeds to promotion to the Premier League.

But how much would Phillips be worth in today's market?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

He’s worth at least £5m.

Phillips is a young English talent who has really impressed me in the Championship this season.

He’s a versatile member of Bielsa’s squad and will play a crucial part in their promotion push for the Premier League this season.

Alfie Burns

His value must be soaring with how he’s playing.

To Leeds, he’s almost irreplaceable at the moment and I genuinely think it’d take an eye-watering bid to get him out of Elland Road.

Considering his age, form and importance, you’ve got to be looking close to £15m to even get Leeds thinking.

Gary Hutchinson

£15m+

He has to be worth that in today’s market. If it was a PL team bidding, they could add another £5m on to that just because of the TV money up there.

However, what is he worth to Leeds? A Premier League place?

If so, he’s worth £200m or more, is he not?
