Ipswich Town are weighing up a move for Eastleigh striker Ben House who has started the 2020/21 campaign in fine fashion, as per Football Insider.

The former Reading forward has notched six goals in eight appearances for the National League side and is now being eyed up by the Tractorboys, Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth.

House made one appearance for the Royals' first-team with him mainly being utilised in the club's under-23 setup, whilst he did spend time out on loan at Aldershot, Swindon and Dagenham.

So, from an Ipswich Town perspective, would you class this is a good potential signing? Is he needed at Portman Road?

The team here at FLW take a look....

I really like this move for Ipswich.

House has made a fantastic start to the season with non-league Eastleigh and has shown signs that he could make a quality EFL marksman.

That's not to say the 21-year-old is the finished product, far from it. The Scotsman will need patience from Ipswich as he develops his game further and gets used to life in the EFL.

As long as they can give him that, then it could be a smart move from their perspective.

While Paul Lambert does have some interesting striking options at the moment, in the likes of Kayden Jackson, James Norwood, and Oli Hawkins, they could certainly do with adding someone who is a long-term option.

It's by no means a guarantee but House could be just that, if he's given time.

Which club did Ipswich Town sign each of these 25 players from? Can you score 25/25?

This could be a shrewd bit of business.

House has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for Eastleigh, and he could be worth a punt for Paul Lambert's side.

With James Norwood recently being forced off with another injury, the Tractor Boys need to target a striker in the January transfer window.

House has similar attributes to Norwood's and is a target man that has shown he knows where the back of the net is.

He'll be eager to prove a point at a higher level as well, after leaving Championship side Reading earlier in his career, after failing to be given much of an opportunity with the Royals.

He's worth a punt for Ipswich in the New Year.

Phil Spencer

This could prove to be a very shrewd move indeed.

While Ben House is only 21 years old he's already shown that he is as natural a goalscorer as they come.

Six goals in eight appearances for Eastleigh this term show that.

For Ipswich Town, those goals could be a welcome boost.

I'm not suggesting that he would necessarily hit the ground running and become an immediate starter, but if he's given time I have every faith that he could be a big player in the EFL.
