With only one week until the big kick-off in the Championship, the City Ground faithful will be full of anticipation that new manager Sabri Lamouchi can get the best out of his Nottingham Forest squad and mount a serious top-six challenge next season.

A lot will be expected from striker Lewis Grabban, who enjoyed a mixed campaign last season, despite notching 16 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Forest have a number of strikers at the club, including Daryl Murphy, Tyler Walker, Jason Cummings, Arvin Appiah and Zach Clough.

With this in mind, do you expect Grabban to start week in, week out under Lamouchi?

We discuss.......

George Brooks

"I expect Grabban to play an important role for Nottingham Forest in the Championship this coming season. I'm not sure Lamouchi would have kept him at the club if he wasn't a part of his plans for the new campaign.

"He's got plenty of experience in the Championship and has always been able to score goals at this level, so it's not like Forest wouldn't have been able to sell him this summer if they wanted to.

"Grabban is arguably the best centre-forward Forest have at the moment too, so I expect him be one of their key players this season.

"He scored 16 league goals for Forest last season and I imagine he will be determined to make an even bigger impact under his new manager this term."

Alfie Burns

“Amongst the current crop of players, absolutely, he’s the natural focal point.

“Over the last two years, Grabban has consistently scored goals in the Championship, and if Lamouchi is going to play to his strengths, he will thrive at Forest this year.

“Grabban doesn’t need people questioning him now, he needs support if he is going to get Forest into pay-off contention.

“That’s the message Lamouchi needs to be giving to his striker right now.”

Toby Wilding

"Right now I think he has to.

"Grabban's experience at this level, and the fact that he was Forest's top scorer last season - and by some way in comparison to their other striking options - means that he is the obvious choice to do so right now.

"Add to that the fact that both Jason Cummings and Darryl Murphy have been told to find new clubs in the summer transfer, and it doesn't seem as though Forest have to manny viable options to take over from Grabban at the present time.

"However, there is still time in the transfer window to get a deal done for a new striking option - something which those aforementioned expected departures may tempt Forest to do - and that could well change things with regards to just how high up the pecking order Grabban finds himself at The City Ground in the coming campaign."
