Leeds United look to have missed out on ex-Newcastle player Yasin Ben El Mhanni as the free agent looks to be in talks to join Antwerp.

The 22-year-old winger was supposedly on the Elland Road radar as reported in Goal, and  was also being considered by Brentford plus a number of sides in Europe.

So have Leeds missed out by not signing the player?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I don't think so.

He's a tricky young player that could have kicked on under Bielsa but I don't think they'll be losing any sleep over it.

With all due respect, it's a Belgian side going after him and so he's still not yet the finished article.

Gary Hutchinson

They may have done, but would he get a game at Elland Road at present?

On paper he looks a good player, but have we really seen solid evidence of that?

I think not.

Leeds are linked with a lot of players, this is one they’ll perhaps accept missing out on.

Jay Taylor

Judging by the start to Leeds’ season, no.

And it goes to show how mediocre his ambition is if he’s to go to a Belgian side as opposed to a move to the Championship or better.

It seems the club have dodged a bullet with that signing, and there are no signs they could do with the addition of Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.
