‘He’s still a boy’ – Plenty of Reading fans react to player’s continuous poor finishing

Reading fell to defeat at Brentford on Saturday which meant Mark Bowen suffered his first loss as manager of the Royals.
It was an unfortunate 1-0 loss and that ended the honeymoon period for the new manager. One man who failed to impress was George Puscas as the Romanian missed yet another clear-cut chance in the fixture.
In the first-half he took the ball past Brentford’s centre-halves and ran through on goal before taking a touch too far and scuffing his effort into the keeper’s arms.
It was another missed chance for the striker, who has been criticised on numerous occasions for his finishing in Reading’s first 16 matches of the campaign.
He has scored just three goals in the league, and has to improve on that tally having been a key signing for the Royals from Inter Milan over the summer.
Here’s how Reading supporters reacted to the striker missing yet another glorious opportunity…

Honest question, how many times is Puscas going to get away with missing vital chances before being dropped? #readingfc

Poor decision yesterday from Puscas to try and take it round the keeper, a confident strikers lobs the bouncing ball over the keeper #readingfc

On another day, you’d hope George Pușcaș puts that chance in the first half away and Reading have a lead to hang on to. His movement is great and he’s getting opportunities, but he is just lacking that sharpness and confidence in front of goal. It’ll come 🤞 #readingfc pic.twitter.com/bJIXcyUnXq

How did the Puscas situation get to this point?Just doesn't like the attention / pressure at MadStad? Seems to have lost composure in front of goal, so not sure it's the right time to sell anyway, from a business point of view. But is he enjoying his time in Reading @jonathanl50?

Controversial post. I'd continue to play Puscas. Out and out striker sorely short of confidence, but genuinely believe if he keeps playing the goals will come. It's not like he isn't getting into positions, it's just not happening for him.. yet! 1 or 2 goals might be the ticket.

Have to laugh at the fans having a go at Puscas, he will come good just need to be patient. #readingfc
