Southampton are reportedly interested in signing Queens Park Rangers’ Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has come into his own at QPR over the last month or so. It took Mark Warburton a while to realise the quality that the wide-man possesses, but with some stellar performances over the festive period, he’s quickly become a key player for the R’s.
His solo goal against Birmingham City last month kick-started a rich run of form for Osayi-Samuel and with a few more goals this month, two against Cardiff on New Year’s Day and one more against Swansea, interest in the ex-Blackpool man is hotting up.
Southampton are said to have been scouting Osayi-Samuel over the past few weeks, and he’s not the first QPR player to be linked with the Saints this season – both Ryan Manning and Ebere Eze have been touted with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.

Barbara Dixon: No we need Bright

He’s having 1/2 a good season and we sell? I hope not, for his sake also. He needs to develop a little more and the club needs to show a little more ambition imo
