There was an enormous sigh of relief around Leeds a week ago when the summer transfer window slammed shut for the Premier League.
It of course meant that they had successfully navigated the period without losing prized asset and Bielsa favourite Kalvin Phillips as many had feared they would.
Aston Villa, Tottenham and Wolves were all reportedly heavily interested in the 23-year-old but none of the sides were seemingly willing to match the club’s valuation of him.

So, at least until January anyway, Leeds have kept their star and on Thursday he was out in public as he made an appearance on the red carpet for the premier of the club’s Amazon Prime documentary, ‘Take Us Home’.
Whilst many fans will be keen not to relive the heartbreaking end to the series, plenty were delighted to see Phillips, arriving with his mum and grandmother at the premier, holding his grandmother’s hand.
And here is what they had to say…
When there is so much wrong with modern footballers. It’s good to see a well brought up and well balanced lad show what it’s really all about. Good on you Yorkshire Pirlo!
