‘He’s right,’ ‘Pretty much bang on’ – Many Sunderland fans react to Cameron Jerome’s honest tweet about club

MK Dons striker Cameron Jerome caused quite a stir in the early hours of the morning after a scathing tweet about Sunderland AFC.

After scoring one of the Dons’ two goals at the Stadium of Light to secure a 2-1 win yesterday, Jerome took to his Twitter account to seemingly wind up Black Cats fans.

In his tweet he labelled Sunderland as a ‘poor side with average players’ and that it was ‘time to accept’ that they are now a ‘bang average League One team’.

Strong words from the former Premier League striker, who swiftly deleted that tweet, but not before it was screenshotted.

It has since done the rounds on social media, which has led to Sunderland fans commenting on the matter.

After some of the performances Sunderland have put in recently, it’s hard to really argue with some of what Jerome has actually said.

Many fans are unhappy with Phil Parkinson’s tactics and all-round management, and are wishing for a change at the top if the team are going to progress and finally get promoted out of League One.

Here is what fans had to say to Jerome’s tweet – and perhaps surprisingly a lot of them are tending to agree with his viewpoint on the team.
