League Two side Mansfield Town have suffered a huge blow this week after being forced to suspend two players after a 'serious breach of breach of club discipline', as reported by their official club site.

Former Chelsea midfielder Jacob Mellis and summer signing Dion Donohue won't be available for selection, nor training with the club, until a full investigation has been completed.

The official statement said: "Mansfield Town Football Club has today suspended midfielders Dion Donohue and Jacob Mellis from duties following an alleged serious breach of club discipline.

"Both players will not attend training or be available for matches during this period. A full investigation is now in process and the club will make no further comment until the investigation is completed."

Both players have represented the club once this season, Mellis in the 2-2 draw with Newport on the opening day which saw him dismissed and former Portsmouth man Donohue in the League Cup defeat against Morecambe.

Plenty of supporters have given their opinions on Twitter, with fans of other clubs also quick to have an opinion on the situation.
