Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder can start the process of making plans for life in the Premier League, after a weekend that saw them confirm their place in the English top-flight, after a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town and closest rivals Leeds United only managing a draw against Aston Villa.

The Ipswich win was another clean sheet for the Blades and their on-loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who arrived at Bramall Lane in the summer on a season-long loan.

So, what next for Henderson, back to Old Trafford? A second loan? Or a permanent return to Bramall Lane?

We discuss........

Benjamin Lang

"Yes. He should definitely continue playing for them next season at the very least.

"He will not get a chance at Old Trafford any time in the near future at just 22, so must stay at a club where he is comfortable.

"Henderson has thrived at Sheffield United and he must stay there in order to progress his career."

Toby Wilding

"Yes, but only on loan.

"Given the performances of their current number one, I can't see Manchester United wanting to get rid of a goalkeeper permanently without getting an idea of how he can perform at the top level.

"Allowing Henderson to stay at Bramall Lane for another season is a risk free way to do that."

Alfie Burns

“I can now the Blades are up.

“Henderson has had a good year and Wilder will want him back on board next season.

“From Man United’s point of view, that’s brilliant news and they’ll be looking forward to seeing him in the Premier League.”

Gary Hutchinson

“I can, and why not?

“He’s not going to get a game at Man Utd, so why keep him?

“He’s happy at Bramall Lane and has turned into a top keeper.

“Don’t forget his double Wembley appearances with Shrewsbury too.

“He’s ready for the top-flight.”
