Lewis Baker's 2018/19 season has probably not been as fruitful as he would have liked, with the 23-year-old struggling to make a real impact on loan at Middlesbrough.

The Chelsea midfielder clearly has an abundance of talent, as he showcased in a previous loan spell at Dutch outfit Vitesse.

His Chelsea career is undoubtedly in limbo, with there no guarantee he will feature for the Blues next season, so where next for the attacking midfielder?

Leeds United could be a destination for the Luton-born ace, with Paul Heckingbottom looking to revamp his Leeds team to launch a genuine assault on the top six next season.

Would Baker and Leeds be a good fit? Should Hecky consider a loan move for the Chelsea star?

We discuss....

Alfie Burns

No, he simply isn’t what Leeds need.

Baker’s year with Middlesbrough has been a disaster and he hasn’t enhanced his reputation at all.

Leeds need to be building a spine over the course of the summer to complement their creative players.

Baker is too similar to the likes of Samu Saiz and Pablo Hernandez.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a good signing.

It hasn't worked out for the midfielder at Boro but you only have to see his displays for England U21s to see he his talent.

Leeds are lacking that creative player in the centre who can pick a pass - Baker would be the answer.

Gary Hutchinson

Obviously, in my opinion he's probably too good for Leeds.

If they pull this off it will be a real coup, Baker has been on the cups of achieving his potential for a while now and a run of games at a decent club will help him do that.

Whether that is Leeds or not is up for debate, they ought to hope it is them.

George Dagless

Leeds fans would love him I think.

He's a class player in the right set-up and could be good enough for the Premier League.

Tony Pulis was never going to warm to him but Paul Heckingbottom knows how to get young players to perform.

I think it could work.
