‘He’s on his way back’ – Plenty of Reading fans react to former key figure’s latest update

Former Reading boss Jaap Stam has already left Dutch side Feyenoord despite only taking over in the summer.
The Royals were managed by Stam for a season and a half during a stint in the Championship where the Dutchman guided Reading to a 3rd placed finish.
Reading were denied a spot in the Premier League in the cruelest way possible as they were defeated by Huddersfield Town in the play-off final on penalties.
Stam then had an atrocious season the next, and was sacked in March having been on a run of just one win in 17 fixtures.
His style of football often gave pundits and other sides a lot to talk about seeing as the Royals tried to dominate possession in every game they played.
It worked for a season, but seriously failed in the next. Since, he’s managed PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands, before moving to Feyenoord this summer.
It hasn’t worked out for him at the big Dutch club, and here’s how Reading fans reacted on social media…
Would Jaap Stam be a better option than Mark Bowen?
Yes

No

As long as he doesn't come back here he can go wherever he wants. The strange thing is that I was only scrolling last night to see how he was getting on.
