Rangers are plotting a move for Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt, if they cannot seal a deal for Millwall's Jake Cooper, according to the Scottish Sun.

Would the 26-year-old be a good signing for Steven Gerrard's side?

Christian Fuller

The 26-year-old will certainly set the Scottish Premier League alight with his tall, assertive dominance from the back, if Rangers can secure their man.

Tilt impressed during last season’s campaign, and was a big factor in Blackpool’s mid table finish.

Having conceded considerably less than the teams around them last season, Blackpool will certainly miss Tilt at the back if he does make the move up to Scotland, going into the next.

Jay Williams

Tilt has impressed at League One level and needs a move to the Championship or to a big Scottish club.

At 6ft 3in, not many are going to beat the 26-year-old in the air.

But I'd opt for Jake Cooper over Tilt if I was Steven Gerrard as the Millwall man is younger, has experience at a higher level and was so solid last season.

Gary Hutchinson

With one season in League One, the rest of his football outside the top four divisions, the Ibrox faithful might find this a little underwhelming.

I'm surprised that he's a target there, he'll be 27 when the season kicks off and although he's got enough to play for eight of the Scottish top flight sides, he's not what Rangers need to catch Celtic, the only battle that matters to them.
