Aston Villa suffered another disappointing home result on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Nigel Adkins' red hot Hull City side. 

Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Evandro gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead at the break but James Chester and Tammy Abraham dragged Dean Smith's side back into the match in the second half.

It was a result that did little to help the Villans and left them languishing in mid-table with their need to improve their squad obvious once again.

They could be set to take another step in that direction soon, however, with Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett set to join on loan in the next few days.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan in League One with Shrewsbury Town but made just one league appearance in that time.

It is far from a convincing arrival for the fans to get excited about and their reactions were rather mixed.
