Leeds United are set to be without young defender Leif Davis for a short spell of time after the 20-year old underwent knee surgery according to the Yorkshire Evening Post's Graham Smyth.

Davis has made five appearances in total for Leeds' first team this season, and will be hoping he can return to the first team picture at the earliest of opportunities.

The left-back broke through to the first team last season, when he started in Leeds' 3-2 win over Aston Villa, before going on to make five appearances in the 2018/19 campaign.

The youngster is currently behind the likes of Barry Douglas, Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski in the pecking order this term, and will feel as though his opportunities are going to be limited this season.

Leeds are currently sat second in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can break out of a poor run of recent form to get their promotion bid back on track.

Plenty of Leeds United fans took to social media to react to this frustrating injury update.
