Leeds United have begun the process of re-shaping their squad with Marcelo Bielsa's side facing up to another season in the Championship, having fallen just short over the course of this campaign.

One player who is heading for the Elland Road exit door is 25-year-old Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban who looks to be heading to Trabzonspor in Turkey permanently, in a seven-figure deal, having spent this season at the Super Liga side on loan, as reported in the YEP.

So is the sale of Ekuban good business for Leeds?

We discuss........

Louie Chandler

"I suppose it is.

"I am sure the club would have much rather seen him score 20 goals a season for the first team but given the circumstances, they can't complain.

"Any financial help ahead of the summer will be welcome."

Toby Wilding

"I think Leeds have done well here.

"Ekuban's record simply hasn't made an impact at Elland Road, so making a profit out of him would have seemed unlikely for some time.

"With a big summer transfer window coming up as they look to strengthen for next season's promotion push, it feels as though this has come at a good time as well."

Gary Hutchinson

“Absolutely.

“Caleb Ekuban was the wrong man at the wrong time, but he’s not a terrible footballer.

“He’s young, he can get better and Leeds will make a few quid from him not being great with them.

“It’s good business; unintentional, but good.”
