Sheffield Wednesday fans were last night left perplexed following another Championship loss and then a releasing of a big statement from their owner, who took a veiled dig at some fans and supported manager Carlos Carvalhal in the process.
A tweet and update from Radio Sheffield’s Rob Staton outlined a big chunk of the statement from Dejphon Chansiri, and there were some controversial comments from the Owls owner regarding his purpose at the club, as well as some questions raised about fans and their motives.
Chansiri also offered to conditionally refund some fans on season tickets, something which has been unheard of previously in football.
With the statement being posted on Twitter, there was also going to be a big reaction from the Owls fans who will have plenty to say about the situation, with plenty of the fans calling for Chansiri to make a bold move and sack manager Carvalhal.
Something like this is always worth a closer look, so we at FLW decided to take a more in depth look at just how the Owls fans reacted to the statement from Chansiri…7
Wow. Just wow. So, to turn his statement upside down "is it just the fans worth to turn up and pay high prices without questioning the manager or the chairman?"
Sounds like he's lost the plot.

Sorry but your have to take blame for not sorting this shambles out, at the end of the day it is a business to you but it’s a hell of a lot more to our fans!! It’s in our blood our DNA, this statement actually makes me ????

I'd say with record season ticket sales at record prices the fans have taken their responsibility pretty seriously.bizarre statement.positivity will come from laying out a credible plan as to what is next because today it isn't working.instead it's backwards looking and negative

All he has done is chuck money at the club and hike prices. So to ask if that'd all he's worth ? Maybe he should associate with the fans. I spoke to MM loads of times never seen Chansiri in the flesh. He's not done anything that makes him a better person …

Heartfelt and candid as he may have wished it to be viewed, any experienced PR firm ( or indeed an experienced football CEO ) would have strongly advised him against releasing such a statement.

I would 100% question his leadership if he continues to allow this slump out of misguided loyalty. We’ve been average to poor for a good 15 months – how many games have we played ‘well’ in? 2,3? I’ll give him first season yes but our style of play can not be justified.

Think things are getting out if hand if he feels that way we all hurt when we lose and way we losing at minute but time he wasn't so open?
