After the optimism of Reading gaining their first win of the season away at Preston at the weekend, normal service was resumed at the Madejski midweek, when the Royals lost to Norwich and made it five defeats for the season so far.

The defeat heaped even more pressure on beleaguered manager Paul Clement who managed to keep Reading in the Championship on the last day of last season, with a draw at Cardiff.

So will it be 'time up' for Clement if Reading lose to Hull at the weekend?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

I’m not so sure. There’s a sacking in the Championship soon and sadly, Clement does look most likely.

He hasn’t got a terrible set of players at reading, but they’ve had such a horrible start his position is becoming untenable

I suppose if he does lose this weekend, that cranks the pressure up further.

Jay Taylor

He shouldn’t be, as the season is only eight games old, and there are teams below them in the table.

So Reading are by no means doomed - it would be silly as they have become more competitive recently and even won a game.

It’s far too soon to be sacking people, even if the football isn’t very good.

If it remains this way or gets worst then there is a decision to make, but not yet.

George Dagless

He's in massive trouble.

This is a huge game for Reading this weekend and if they do not get three points I cannot see him staying put for much longer at all.

Let's see how they deal with the pressure.
