Nottingham Forest saw out 2017 with a defeat at the City Ground to round off a miserable couple of months for Mark Warburton's men.

Sunderland scored the only goal of the game through Irish international Aiden McGeady, and his goal was enough to see the Black Cats leave Nottingham with all three points.

The win for Chris Coleman's men was the ideal tonic to end the year with and gives them a massive boost going into 2018 where they will be hoping to keep on picking up wins and move well clear of the Championship dropzone.

However, the same cannot be said for Forest and manager Warburton, and the Reds are once again in big danger of being sucked into a relegation battle.

Following the game, plenty of Forest fans were taking to Twitter to voice their concerns and it's safe to say it doesn't make good reading for the manager, with many calling for him to go.

Here's a more in depth look at how Forest fans reacted to the loss to Sunderland today...
