Everyone at the Madjeski Stadium at the weekend will have taken a big sigh of relief as the Royals picked up their second win of the season with a 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Hull City.

The win saw the Royals climb out of the relegation zone and up to 20th spot with eight points before a tough run of matches against Brentford, QPR and West Brom before the next international break.

But how much time has Clement bought himself?

We discuss.....

It is amazing what a win can do for a side.

The 3-0 triumph over Hull has probably given Paul Clement until after the international break now, with three games before that.

They have Millwall the game after so if their next three results go against them, the home game with the Lions becomes even more important.

That could be the key fixture that decides Clement’s future.

Gary Hutchinson

He’s made a last-gasp save right there, has he not? Another defeat and it could have been curtains.

Reading got what they deserved and have been deserving for a couple of weeks.

Their performances haven’t always been terrible and hopeful Clement now has time to work with his players.

He’s got a month at least.

I think Reading’s win at the weekend shows just what they can do when the Royals click in every department.

Granted, they will play much better sides than Hull this season, but Clement’s side despite going down to 10 men looked solid at the back, and he is definitely bought himself a good few games in charge to show everyone that his side could go on a run
