Leeds United have now lost three straight matches in all competitions following their miserable 1-0 defeat against QPR on Saturday afternoon as they continued their poor record in the capital.

Marcelo Bielsa's side were looking to get their automatic promotion bid back on track following their 2-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday last time out, but they dropped another three points as a result of Nahki Wells' early opener.

The Whites could not find a response to Wells' controversial strike which saw him handle the ball in the build-up, while Leeds striker Patrick Bamford missed a second-half penalty after he went down under the challenge of Rs 'keeper Liam Kelly.

Bamford also missed two major opportunities for his side inside the first half, with the 26-year-old having to play the full 90 minutes as a result of Leeds only having one striker in the match-day squad following Eddie Nketiah's return to Arsenal.

Plenty of Leeds supporters took to Twitter to criticise Bamford's penalty miss in addition to his overall poor performance for the Elland Road outfit, with many of them emphasising the need for the club to recruit another striker this month.
