Nottingham Forest are really struggling for consistency in the Sky Bet Championship, with Mark Warburton’s side struggling to put a string together a run of results.

The Reds currently sit 13th in the Championship table, eight points outside the top-six.

Warburton’s side have struggled defensively all season, and the likelihood is that will be the area Forest look to strengthen in the transfer window.

One player who could be on Warburton’s radar is Celtic’s, Erik Sviatchenko, with Forest potentially continuing their raid on the Scottish top-flight.

Should Forest make an ambitious move for the 26-year-old?

We look…

George Dagless

He's exactly what they need.

Forest would be in the top-six if they could defend but because they can't they are not.

An experienced centre-half would be ideal, then, and if Sviatchenko is available I'd say go for him.

Sam Rourke

The Celtic defender nearly left in the summer, and is seemingly not in the first-team plans of manager Brendan Rodgers.

He would be a sensational coup for Forest, but you get the impression it'll take a fair sized transfer fee to lure him away.

Surely worth an enquiry from Forest in Jan?

Adam Simeoni

I can't see him leaving Celtic for Forest, especially with the Bhoys still in Europa League contention.

Perhaps a move at the end of season could work, but the player is going nowhere in January.

He would improve the Forest back-line, however.

Chris Gallagher

They can try, although I'm not sure they'll get anywhere with it!

Celtic are sure to be playing in the Europa League after Christmas so I imagine they will be reluctant to sell a player in a position where they are already weak in.

However, the Dane clearly has the quality to play in the Championship and if a move could come off he would improve the Forest defence incredibly.
