Leeds United forgotten man Yosuke Ideguchi has never appeared for the Whites in a senior competitive fixture having only made appearances in pre-season friendlies, before being loaned out firstly to Cultural Leonesa and most recently Greuther Fürth.

It was whilst at Greuther Fürth in September 2018, that the 22-year-old central midfielder suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

So what next for Ideguchi, does he have a future at Leeds or will they look to sell him?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"Wait, he is still at the club?

"There is absolutely no chance he will be at Elland Road next season. He has had a torrid time out on loan in Germany and will not be in Bielsa's plans.

"These are the sort of players that the Whites need to start clearing from their wage bill."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes.

“Why would they not?

“He’s not been involved, he’s rarely seen on the grass and they’re moving forward rapidly.

“His time is up.”

Alfie Burns

“He’s probably one that Leeds will look to move on, but he’s overcoming a big injury, so it won’t be easy.

“With hindsight, it was a poor signing for Leeds to make and Ideguchi faced an uphill battle moving to England.

“If someone comes in for him, he will go, but it isn’t likely to be a priority.”

Jacob Potter

"He’s definitely on his way out.

"His loan spell has been plagued by injuries, and there is absolutely no way that he will be in the Leeds set-up next season.

"His departure would be the best move for both parties."
