QPR have recently announced that they have completed the signings of Jordan Hugill and Marc Pugh ahead of the new Championship season.

Pugh has been a free agent since his contract with AFC Bournemouth came to an end earlier in the summer, and he'll be hoping to make his mark in Mark Warburton's side.

Hugill hasn't had much of a chance in the West Ham squad in recent years, and spent last season on loan with Middlesbrough, and will be keen to recapture his best form.

The forward arrives on a season-long loan deal, and is likely to be leading the line for the Hoops when they take on Stoke City in their first game of the season on Saturday.

The Loftus Road faithful will be hoping their new signings can make an instant impact, as they look to improve on a disappointing league campaign last term, where they finished 19th in the league table.

In our latest Six Pointer, we look into QPR's latest new signings in more detail.

Firstly, is Hugill a good signing for the Hoops?

"I think this is a really good signing by QPR.

"There will be doubts as to whether Hugill can find his best form with the Hoops, especially as he didn't look at his best with Middlesbrough for much of last season.

"But if Hugill can regain his confidence, then I think QPR could potentially be a surprise package in the Championship next season."

What will Pugh add to the QPR team next season?

"He'll solve a problem position, that's for certain.

"Pugh was impressive for Hull on loan last season, and will be called upon to provide the creative spark in the QPR team next term.

"Pugh is also 32, so he'll add some much-needed experience to a relatively young team in next year's campaign, so it's a smart bit of business by the Hoops."

Will the pair be regularly in the starting XI under Warburton?

"They're both going to feature regularly.

"QPR were desperately short in options in both positions, and Hugill and Pugh are both up to the required standard in the Championship.

"I would be stunned if they both didn't start the majority of their league games next term."

Can you see Hugill recapturing his best form at QPR?

"Providing he is given regular game time, then he could thrive in this team.

"Hugill scored 23 league goals across a three-year-spell with Preston North End in the Championship earlier in his career, so it's clear to see that he's got what it takes at this level.

"He's a confidence based player evidently, and I feel as though he'll score 15+ goals next season if he can find his scoring boots early into next year's league campaign."

Can Pugh fill the void left by Luke Freeman?

"There's no doubting that it's a sizeable void to fill.

"Freeman was hugely impressive for QPR last season, scoring seven goals and being on hand to provide six assists for his Hoops team-mates.

"But he's capable of filling that sizeable void, as he scored three goals in 10 league starts for Hull last term, as well as scoring nine goals in the 2014/15 season for Bournemouth."

Finally, how should QPR fans feel about their arrival?

"They've got every reason to be excited about their new signings.

"Hugill has shown in the past that he can score goals at this level, and Pugh will add some much-needed experience to the team next term.

"There will have been real concern heading into the new season before they signed, but I don't think QPR will be near the relegation zone with Pugh and Hugill in their team now."
