Charlton Athletic look a solid bet for at least the play-offs in League One, with Lee Bowyer's side in fifth spot in the table, 11 points clear of seventh placed Coventry City with only eight games of the season remaining.

Charlton are unbeaten in seven and as one of the form sides in the division, Bowyer must be confident that even though his club are racked with ownership issues off the pitch, his side are doing the only thing they can do and perform well on it.

So is Bowyer definitely the right man to take Charlton forward?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"Without doubt.

"He gets the club, he gets the players and he has worked hard to bring quality and balance to a team that could easily have been impacted by what has happened there.

"He deserves far more credit than he gets for the job he has done."

Jay Taylor

“You have to ask yourself if he was to leave, who is out there to take his place?

“Especially the predicament the club finds itself in, there won’t be many managers out there willing to jump in feet first at the London club.

“Give him a stable club to run, and he will flourish – Bowyer is doing well during these testing times.”

Gary Hutchinson

“100%.

“He’s been superb for them this season, working wonders with a dwindling squad.

“Losing Grant and not being able to replace him was a blow, but they’re still right up there.

“He’s doing a good job.”
