West Brom are maintaining their place in the Championship play-off spots and face a huge trip to promotion rivals Leeds United on Friday night.

One player who is definitely impressing for Darren Moore's side currently is 22-year-old defender Mason Holgate, who joined the Baggies on loan from Everton in the January transfer window.

So with eight appearances to his name so far, is it fair to say Holgate has proved a good signing for West Brom?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"He's been really effective.

"I had high hopes for him when he arrived and he has proved exactly why he is an excellent defender to have at Championship level.

"An underrated player, who has a big future ahead of him."

Alfie Burns

“The defence has improved remarkably since he’s slotted in on the right.

“He’s a good attacking threat, but he gives the back four a real solid look.

“Moore did some good business in January, including Holgate, he just needs other parts of the side to start to gel.”

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes.

“He’s looked very competent and every inch a senior player.

“When these young players drop into the Championship, you don’t want them to play like young players.

“They need to look like time-served professional footballers and that’s Holgate.”

Jay Taylor

“I think he has proved to be a great addition.

“Composure and assurance on such young shoulders, the defender has found his place in the side.

“If West Brom could get the Everton man on a permanent basis it would be one hell of a signing.

“And there is more to come from the young right-back, too, I feel.”
