Norwich City bounced back to the top of the Championship at the weekend with a victory over Leeds United, in a match that saw 29-year-old midfielder Mario Vrancic pop up with two goals for the Canaries, in the 3-1 win over the promotion chasing Whites.
Vrancic has been in good form for Norwich this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 23 appearances for Daniel Farke’s side this season.
So is Vrancic one of Norwich’s most key players?
“In recent weeks he has been, for sure.
“He hasn’t impressed me too much this season on the whole, but he’s really stepped up since the injury to Moritz Leitner.
“He was sensational against Leeds at the weekend.”
“He’s definitely one of their key players.
“He might not catch the headlines in terms of statistics, but a lot of his work often goes unnoticed in this Norwich side.
“Daniel Farke will need to keep Vrancic fit for the rest of the season if the Canaries are to have any chance of retaining top spot.”
“27 matches, 7 goals and a host of superb performances.
“Of course he is!
“He’s been superb for them and is another example of why they’re doing well.
“He’s understated in many ways, but he’s been incredible at times.”
